Blog Week 4 - Motion is Lotion

Well, I’m back from vacation. On my way to the airport my Lyft driver said, "miss your vacation already?" He made me think; vacation time is much need for all of us to recharge in our own way, but when you step off that plane in your home city it’s right back to the grind as if you never went away. That's one reason to create a life you like coming home to :)

While on vacation I did a lot of thinking about the body and motion. I went on long hikes and I kept saying to myself that I was gong to hike so much on that particular day so I would be sore the next day. I did some difficult and 2 - 3 hour trails. But I did not get sore each time I tried to reach this goal!! 

This made me think about what I keep saying. Our bodies are meant to move. Our bodies are meant to actually walk from place to place, way more than 10,000 steps a day. We are meant to walk up and down, maneuver through different terrains and do lots of it. So you can imagine how unhappy our bodies are in the current world.

SO, with this in mind we will continue our path to restore movement to our joints. Try these standing hip CARS. The key is to try and stick with your hip. Try not to tilt your body in different direction. We want the liquid gold in our hips this week. Do a minute each side, do more, make it harder and imagine moving though honey, slow and steady Make it even harder by moving even slower.
